Fourteen coarse components, not Cleveland's 45-item trim — read these as breadth diagnostics beside the Cleveland/Atlanta measures on the matrix, not as substitutes. Trimmed mean drops 16% of basket weight from each tail (splitting the straddling component) and averages the rest; the median is the component at the middle of cumulative weight. Cells are the published quilt YoYs; nothing is re-priced.

Macrogauge outlook — next 12 months
Each of the 14 gauge components receives a 12-month path from forward drivers or the 12-month median of its own real complete-month changes (stopped at its last observation, capped at ±20%/yr). Component index levels are CPI-weighted; YoY uses actual year-ago levels, so base effects are exact.
Model projection, not a promise or investment advice. The shaded range is a realized-volatility band, not a calibrated confidence interval.
The outlook's starting point (3.03%, Sep 2026) is the gauge's index-level YoY — a ratio of monthly index levels — not the own-observation headline above (3.24%), so the two differ. Component paths and drivers: outlook.
